REVIEW OF KATDELIC: "Opening the night was Katdelic, the project of Ronkat Spearman (one of the many P-Funk alumni). They laid down thick slices of good dirty funk driven by two bass players that instantly warmed up the crowd. Honestly the bookend bass players threw me at first, but it added so much bottom end to the sound I couldn’t help but be converted. This band was terrific. And Ronkat, who looks like Kool Keith’s version of Black Elvis, was tearing it up on guitar and vocals with true P-Funk grace. If you want to go out to have a good time and shake a tail feather, you can’t lose with this band….they play oceans of deep funk. Check out their next show at the Boom Boom Room on New Years’ Day. RonKat is a grammy nominated/song writer of the year winner. He was a vocalist/musician with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic from 2000 to 2010. Touring the world with GCPF has enriched his talents and pushed his skills to even higher levels of achievement.
RONKAT’s music is a combination of funk and rock. Bridging unbelievably tasteful elements of multi-genres in a musical blend of pure magic.
Katdelic began as RonKat’s off the road project for the past few years but as of 2010 (with George Clinton’s Blessing) Ronkat devoted all of his time and work to work on his D.O.T.M.S. (Dance On The Mothership) CD .Ronkat picks up on the incredibly high standard set forth by George Clinton with Funkadelic. He takes this framework and contextures it to a few paradigm of futuristic jubilance.
The Gentlemen Amateurs
Band Members include Wesley Briones on Lead Vocals, Greg Barr on Guitar, Jason Tharp on Bass, Phil Greiner on Drums, Adam Louie on Trumpet and Dana Rietdyk on Tenor Sax. Stemming from Berkeley, CA the sextet will be sure to provide dance grooves with lush brass harmonies and soulful vocals.

"This event is going to be a fund raiser for the never ending medical expenses for our friend Marisa Martinez's 9 year old daughter Zamora Moon who is fighting DIPG, a very aggressive brain tumor. We all believe that Zamora will beat this but it is a long process. Her meds are over $3200. a month. This event is FREE and donations will be collected at the show. Please tell your friends and Please come and enjoy a night of amazing music for a more than worthy cause. Our friend Pamela Gerstein will be on hand to MC the evening.
