I talk to many people that still don't know that Musician, Lester Chambers, was attacked during a Blues Festival in 2013 in Hayward, CA, after dedicating "People Get Ready" to Trayvon Martin. It was in the news for a bit after it happened. The song started, and a woman came barreling thru the audience, jumped up onstage screaming something to him about it being all his fault, and then pushed him down. That push resulted in Lester having broken ribs and a dislocated hip. He is still injured. He made sure that his attacker was brought out of prison, and into a mental institution, because, as he told me, he wanted to make sure that she could go outside everyday, talk a walk, and enjoy the sunshine. He said that he didn't want her in a cage. Today, Lester is asking for our financial help.
