#FYI: THE SISKIYOU COUNTY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESOURCE CENTER HAS LIGHTENED-UP THEIR RESTRICTIONS FOR ENTRANCE TO THEIR SHELTER. This is superb news. I was turned away from Domestic Violence Shelters multiple times because I didn't have my kids with me. My kids were situated and safe, but I was not. I needed help. Being turned away resulted in more trauma that I sustained & survived, and it's NOT OK. It's come to my attention that the Siskiyou Domestic Violence & Crisis Centerrestrictions for entrance to their shelter have changed. If you are a woman in Siskiyou County, California experiencing Domestic Violence, and need to get safe--whether or not if you have children with you--please know that there is help for you now and please GO THERE.
