DID YOU KNOW? I was diagnosed with Cat Scratch Fever when I was 28 years old. It's true. Go check my medical records. It was from my cat that I nick-named "Monty." Monty was short for the Spanish word for Diamond, which is Diamante; he had a white spot on his back in the shape of diamond. It took the doctors about a month to figure out what was wrong with me--I had lost a significant amount of vision in my left eye. My "case" was even discussed at the monthly regional gathering of eye doctors. They were trying to figure it out. Finally, the Dr. asked, "Do you have a cat?" "Yes.", I replied. "In very rare cases, cat scratch fever can enlarge a blood vessel in your retina, and cause a block in your vision. I want to do a blood test to test for it." Yeah, well, I guess I'm a RARE CASE, because I tested positive for it, (it's called Cat-Scratch neuroretinitis; Ocular bartonellosis), & I was given an antibiotic as a remedy. The block in my vision slowly went away, and I see thru whatever scarring there is, (it's a little wavy), and my vision in that eye is considered 20/20. So, yeah.....#MEOW https://goo.gl/DSzYc0 ❤
