A post of mine from 2012 SURFACED today. It's about getting paid for the work we do.
"April 1, 2012 I have many Friends that are sooooo incredibly intelligent and talented, and I see that they have been struggling in what I call this "3-D Reality Bullsh*t."
I see that I--and emphasize that I! Eye! ;)--have also been struggling in this 3D Reality Bullsh*t. It has not felt very good, nor has it been easy--and that's no joke, on this April Fool's Day.
I like to RE-MEMBER that each one of Us are GIFTS TO THE WORLD. WE all have Our dIfFeReNt Talents and Offerings. May WE all respect that, please?
One time I was singing back-up, and when I looked around at all of the band members, I *rEaLIzEd* that every single one of them, except US--the 'back-up' singers--were getting paid for the gig. That cool? Um, no. No, it's not.
So.....this ONE goes out to all My MUSICIAN Friends that I LOVE sooooo much, 'cause this LIFE 'game'.....well, actually, it's been exhausting...
